This Privacy Policy explains what information Living Healthy Advice collects when you visit www.livinghealthyadvice.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this policy in plain language on purpose — you should not need a lawyer to understand what happens to your data.

Who we are

Living Healthy Advice is an independent publisher of heart-health and nutrition information. Our website address is https://www.livinghealthyadvice.com. Articles are researched and written by the Living Healthy Advice Editorial Team. We publish general educational information only — see our About page for how we work and what we are not.

Information we collect

Information you give us

If you send a message through our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list without your consent.

Comments

If comments are enabled on an article and you leave one, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user-agent string, which help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see whether you use it; Gravatar’s privacy policy governs that service. After approval, your comment and profile picture are visible publicly alongside the comment.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records standard log data when a page is requested: IP address, browser type, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding aggregate traffic patterns.

Media

If you upload an image to the website (for example with a comment), avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, since other visitors can download and extract that data.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use them for a few limited purposes:

  • Functional cookies — if you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies so you do not have to retype them. These last about one year.
  • Session cookies — if you log in as a site administrator, cookies keep that session active. Ordinary visitors do not receive login cookies.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — set by third parties, described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.

Advertising and third-party vendors

This site is supported by display advertising. Advertising helps keep our articles free to read.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads.
  • You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at optout.aboutads.info.
  • More detail on how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We do not control the cookies set by advertising partners, and we do not receive the personal information they may collect. Their own privacy policies govern that data.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to understand which articles are useful — for example, how many people read a page and which search terms brought them there. We look at this data in aggregate. We do not attempt to identify individual readers, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.

How long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically instead of being held in a moderation queue. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Server logs are rotated on a routine schedule.

Your rights over your data

If you have left a comment or contacted us, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase it. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA — we honor these requests regardless of where you are located.

To make a request, use our contact page.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we apply routine security hardening and monitoring. No website can promise perfect security, but we limit what we collect in the first place, which is the most effective protection available.

Medical disclaimer

Living Healthy Advice publishes general educational information about nutrition and heart health. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for talking with a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history. Always consult your doctor or a registered dietitian before changing your diet, exercise, or medication — especially if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, kidney disease, or are pregnant.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
